The Jakarta Summit on Human Fraternity took place from July 28 to 30, 2025, at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia. Organized by the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity under the leadership of H.E. Dr. Khalid Al-Ghaith, the summit brought together global leaders, thinkers, and changemakers to shape new frameworks for peace, coexistence, and justice. Global Data Excellence was honored to participate in such a historic event and to be recognized, as Dr. Walid el Abed was officially invited by the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity to take part in the summit.
Founder of Global Data Excellence and visionary behind DEMS-NIXUS “La Machina”, Dr. Walid delivered a keynote speech during Session 2: Social Rights and Social Justice – Creating Frameworks for Global Harmony, sharing a moving and forward-thinking perspective on ethical technology.
A refugee’s child turned AI pioneer, Dr. Walid opened his address with a powerful reflection on the convergence of human resilience and technological progress:
“We are at the crossroads of eras—an epoch where the digital symphony intertwines with the human spirit. Let us ensure AI becomes a force for equity, not division.”
One of the most significant moments of the summit was the official declaration of DEMS-NIXUS Ethical AI as a right for all. This landmark recognition marks a major step toward ensuring that access to advanced, ethical artificial intelligence becomes a universal right—not a privilege for the few.
“Imagine a world where access to the most advanced AI is as simple and affordable as a daily cup of coffee,” Dr. Walid said.
DEMS-NIXUS “La Machina” was presented not as a product, but as a beacon of hope—a platform designed to understand languages, cultures, and values, and to serve humanity with fairness, dignity, and inclusiveness.
His vision is guided by four ethical principles:
1. Human-centricity – Upholding and protecting human dignity
2. Transparency – Ensuring that algorithms remain clear and accountable
3. Inclusivity – Embracing cultural, linguistic, and social diversity
4. Sustainability – Advancing technology in harmony with the planet
The declaration of DEMS-NIXUS Ethical AI as a universal right represents a turning point in how the world views AI and digital justice. It is no longer a question of whether AI should be ethical, but how urgently we can make ethical AI the global standard.
“Let us unite under the banner of La Machina, guided by our shared values and a bold vision for the future… For it is together that we will write the next great chapter of our human story.”
